My name is James Myrick. I'm a skilled song writer & indie film maker with a lifetime of work to show for it. I started out playing drums as a young teenager in a surprisingly good band called Mentally Fat. In my late teens, I started a band called The Philosophers, for which I sang & wrote most the vocals, guitar, bass, trumpet & trombone parts. I also created the props for our shows & mixed our 1st album. Later I returned to drums & toured in a strait edge hardcore band called The Mafia. I eventually sort of fabricated a band called The Movie Night Representatives, which saw a tiny bit of myspace fame. Then I turned to film making & video production. Me, my brother & my friend Chris Perguidi started making shorts about characters kinda based off ourselves. Chris & I also produced a public access show for a while called The Lizard Zone. I eventually uploaded all of our movies to a youtube channel and create a website for them called The Wizard Zone. We started filming our first full length movie “The Boys” at the beginning of 2010 & shortly after, I started brainstorming song ideas for a solo album. I eventually composed the music for my album, which I decided to call “drive” under the name Arctic Fox & did most of the recording & mixing. We finished filming “The Boys” at the end of that year. I also finally recorded the vocals for “drive” around this time. One day it magically occurred to me that I could shave my face hair into a spiral. A picture of it that a friend took ended up going viral on the internet. You might know of me as spiral beard guy. I'm working on a couple more full length movies now with my brother & have many more planned for the future. I only ended up releasing 1 song from "drive" because the computer it was on stopped working, but I'll still get it fixed & finish it eventually. Anyway, my whole life obviously consists of creating & my best has yet to come!

I use this tumblr to post about Arctic Fox and other projects of mine. I also post pictures of myself and some of my creations, but I mostly just reblog things I like. [rated R]
